Problem Solving Programme seeks to develop problem solving skills inside manufacturing and industrial organisations, while delivering performance improvements as the learning happens. Learners work in carefully chosen problem solving teams that are exposed to real organisational problems, and solve them with the support of a highly skilled facilitator. This approach of ongoing coaching and practical application delivers significantly more learning than can be provided in a classroom alone. They bring problem solving knowledge as well as manufacturing subject matter expertise.

At the heart of the programme are high-quality training solutions in A3 and A4 Problem Solving. Learners are given templates to use as they attack organisational problems, with the facilitator helping them to use these tools appropriately at each step along the way. They will tackle problems in performance areas such as cost, quality, delivery, safety (including personnel safety, food safety and process safety), morale, the environment and health. 

Our facilitators conduct the classroom training and then also visit site each month at an agreed frequency to work with problem solving teams. We’ll be there with your people on production lines, in utility areas, in laboratories and wherever the problems are. Learners also receive continuous access to our facilitators through electronic communication. Teams are assisted with the identification of relevant organisational problems for inclusion on the programme, and successful problem solving events are converted into case studies, disseminating learning throughout the organisation. Monthly reporting is delivered to management on the status of each problem being tackled and the results being achieved.
